Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate degree with required experience.
• Associate's degree plus two years in building design, construction or inspections.
• Minimum four years of progressive experience preferred in an architecture firm as project manager or similar

Responsibilities

• Review building plans for compliance with codes, city ordinances and permits.
• Examine reports and calculations for complex code issues in new construction or alterations.
• Explain corrections to applicants and ensure designs meet code requirements.
• Coordinate pre-development meetings with owners, developers and designers for a smooth process.
• Assist customers through permitting and provide interpretations of codes and ordinances.
• May perform onsite inspections to verify compliance as needed.
