Job summary

The City of Conroe is seeking a qualified Building Plans Reviewer to work under the supervision of building officials. You will review residential applications, plans and specifications and assist with commercial reviews, ensuring compliance with codes and permitting procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years experience in building code enforcement, building plan review or related field.
• Must obtain ICC certification within 1 year (Residential Building Inspector, Residential Plans Examiner or equivalent).
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and building department software.

Responsibilities

• Review all residential building applications, plans and specifications.
