Clark County Community & Economic Development - Planning/Zoning Technician

Summary of Duties:

• Reviews zoning permit applications for compliance with requirements, such as code and land use compliance
• Performs routine office tasks in designated program areas, such as data entry, file management, copying, answering telephone and responding to e-mails
• Develops and maintains automated tracking systems, hard copy files and records
• Researches and compiles information on a variety of planning applications/requests made to county boards from multiple sources
• Prepares public notices or letters
• Prepares maps, charts, graphics of limited complexity
• Investigates violations of planning regulations and ordinances, including site visits
• Provides assistance with public meetings and takes/prepares minutes
• Responds to zoning information requests and explains processes to the public
• Performs all other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:Associate’s degree from an accredited college preferred OR equivalent combination of training and experience that provides evidence that the applicant possesses the necessary skills and abilities to perform the work.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent system.The candidate must be comfortable with public speaking.Required:Possession of a valid Ohio Driver’s License.Regular and reliable attendance.
