Job summary

The City of Aurora seeks a dynamic Planning Services Engineering Supervisor to shape the community’s water, wastewater, and stormwater master plans. You will lead a team of engineers, coordinate across departments, and partner with external agencies to deliver prioritized capital plans that balance growth with reliability.

This hybrid role requires a decade of relevant experience, Colorado PE licensure, and strong leadership and communication skills to guide projects and improve city-wide

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field.
• Seven (7) years of utility infrastructure planning/engineering experience required.
• Colorado PE licensure or ability to obtain licensure within six months required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Long-Range Planning Team, overseeing staff and initiatives.
• Develop and deliver master plans for water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external agencies to align capital plans.
• Oversee budgeting, prioritization, and procurement for master planning efforts.
• Mentor engineers to ensure high-quality deliverables and balanced workloads.
