Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking Planning students to join our Charlotte, NC office for an on-site internship. You will support the production of transit, mobility, and bicycle and pedestrian plans, and assist with public engagement efforts and data collection.

Responsibilities include mapping and spatial analyses in ArcGIS Pro, solving problems, and collaborating with project teams and municipal/state agencies to advance our clients’ visions for future built environments.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Planning degree (Bachelor's or Master's) in City & Regional Planning, Urban Planning, or Transportation Planning.
• Enrolled in an accredited program related to planning.
• Able to collect and analyze data and use analysis tools such as ArcGIS Pro.

Responsibilities

• Support production of transit, mobility, and bicycle and pedestrian plans.
• Support public engagement efforts.
• Collect, analyze, and communicate transportation data.
• Create maps and prepare spatial analyses in ArcGIS Pro.
• Assist project managers and collaborate across disciplines to realize clients’ visions.
