Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Aerospace Planner to align customer demand with production capacity, using ERP tools to maintain schedules and ensure on-time delivery.

You will coordinate with expeditors, contracts, and program management to optimize schedules and manage risks, MRB, and expedites across multiple departments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum 5 years experience as a planner.
  • Strong data management and forecasting skills.
  • Aerospace manufacturing knowledge and ITAR awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain overall customer schedules using the ERP system to align customer demand with internal supply.
  • Communicate with the internal expeditor to schedule parts and ensure on-time product delivery.
  • Coordinate with Contracts and Program Management to align customer schedules with manufacturing capabilities.
  • Create and maintain daily and weekly shipment schedules with inspection and shipping departments.
  • Manage work orders according to customer demand.
  • Manage and prioritize source lists.
  • Review production schedules and communicate manufacturing needs to the expeditor.
  • Work with the Master Scheduler to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Align MRB and rework work orders with customer demand.
  • Create and maintain expedited plans with the expeditor.
  • Manage ship schedules and shortages for assembly builds.
  • Review milestones and communicate production needs.
  • Create shipment lists for stock shipments.
  • Review late-starting work orders and work with Purchasing to manage schedules.
  • Review monthly forecasts to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Run planned order and exceptions reports to ensure internal supply matches customer demand.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Minimum 5 years experience as a planner
  • Ability to promote the company vision, communicating effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time
  • Must be able to organize daily plans for a multitude of department personnel
  • Must be well versed in the ability to create, manage and manipulate data electronically (i.e. spreadsheets)
  • Must work well with others in a team environment
  • Proven track record in meeting performance goals
  • Create a cohesive workforce that is goal oriented towards meeting company quality standards and performance
  • Knowledge of different methods and processes utilized in an aerospace manufacturing environment
  • Strong mathematical and computer skills
  • Must have working knowledge of customer base in aerospace industry
  • Knowledge and experience in production and manufacturing processes and techniques
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to remain seated for long periods of time while working on a computer or documentation, etc.
  • Must have manual dexterity to operate computer keyboard and standard office equipment
  • Must be capable of withstanding long period of viewing data on a computer screen and/or paper format
  • U.S. applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
  • For applicable US positions, must be a US Person under ITAR or eligible for approval for a U.S. Government export license
