The Planner/Buyer owns the planning, scheduling, and monitoring the movement of material through the production cycle to achieve on time customer delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a variety of schedules, records, and reports pertaining the tracking of materials through the production cycle and availability of production resources.
  • Establish the necessary flow of Production in the plant to meet customer delivery schedules.
  • Frequent communication with Sales and Customer Service for customer updates and requests.
  • Works closely with Buyers and Quality to improve on time delivery performance.
  • Recommend and maintain MRP settings.
  • Assist in the Inventory Control function of the plant.
  • Ability to cross train within the Materials department to expand abilities and coverage.

Qualifications

WORK EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in operations, supply planning, or purchasing

PREFERRED

  • Understanding and application of SAP MM functionality

EDUCATION

REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in business related field, supply chain, or process engineering

CERTIFICATIONS

PREFERRED

  • APICS certification
