Job description

Position Description:

The Sr. Plan Administration Analyst provides administrative services for qualified retirement plans, including but not limited to annual compliance testing, contribution calculations, and preparation of the Form 5500. This role ensures plans remain qualified by meeting all regulatory deadlines and collaborating with clients to resolve compliance issues. The position also involves advising other departments on plan compliance matters.

Position Location:

This position is remote (within the U.S.A.) and does not require regular in-office presence.

What you do

  1. Communicate by phone or written correspondence with plan sponsors and their advisors regarding compliance-related matters.
  2. Administer retirement plans according to plan documents.
  3. Calculate employer contributions.
  4. Determine participant eligibility and vesting according to plan documents.
  5. Perform annual plan compliance testing, including ADP/ACP, Top Heavy, 410(b), and 402(g), and work with clients on corrective measures for failed tests.
  6. Prepare and file Forms 5500 and 5330.
  7. Provide support for plan audits.
  8. Utilize multiple systems to administer plans efficiently and meet regulatory deadlines.

  1. Bachelor's Degree required or an equivalent combination of education and experience in Retirement Plans.
  2. 1-3 years of retirement plan administration experience required.
  3. Ability to manage data and process financial transactions with high accuracy.
  4. Ability to maintain data security by following all guidelines and reporting potential security threats.
  5. Excellent mathematical and Excel skills required.
  6. Excellent communication skills required.
  7. Ability to work under tight deadlines and attention to detail are desired.
