Position Description:

This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining a strong system of internal controls to improve the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of department processes. Responsibilities include performing audits, developing controls to ensure the accuracy of plan/policies issues, and maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations.

Position Location:

This position is remote and does not require regular in-office presence.

What You Do:
  • Develop and implement a robust internal audit program, conducting regular audits to verify compliance and accuracy.
  • Take appropriate actions based on audit findings to address potential issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with Compliance to lead regulatory change initiatives, including communication plans for impacted teams.
  • Conduct investigations into operational successes, issues, and trends, and report findings to management.
  • Coordinate efforts with internal auditors to prevent fraud and improve risk management processes.
  • Review issue reporting statistics and support organizational improvements.
  • Coach, mentor, and train associates; serve as a resource for complex issues.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate with the training team; conduct training sessions as needed.
  • Represent the department on task forces and projects related to process changes or regulatory implementations.
What You Bring:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Retirement Plans.
  • Experience with Omni or Relius preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task effectively.
