Job summary

Providence Staffing LLC in Providence, RI, seeks a detailed-oriented Personal Injury Plaintiff Claims Adjuster to manage and negotiate insurance claims on behalf of injured plaintiffs. The ideal candidate holds an active state insurance adjuster license, has experience with personal injury claims on the plaintiff side or as an independent adjuster, and can work in a hybrid in-office/remote setup.

Qualifications

• Active state-issued insurance adjuster license (must be valid at time of application).
• Proven experience managing personal injury claims, ideally plaintiff side or as independent adjuster.
• Strong knowledge of insurance policies, coverage interpretation and PI legal principles.

Responsibilities

• Investigate personal injury claims by reviewing reports, records, photos and statements.
• Interview clients, witnesses, and third parties to establish timelines and facts.
• Evaluate injuries and damages, including wage loss and future medical expenses.
• Determine liability by applying laws and available evidence.
• Negotiate settlements with insurers and respond to offers.
• Maintain well-documented claim files including investigations and communications.
• Ensure claims handling complies with laws, regulations and firm policies.
• Collaborate with attorneys to support litigation strategy and trial prep.
• Communicate empathetically with clients throughout the process.
