Job summary

Progressive Insurance is seeking a claims adjuster specialist to manage attorney-represented bodily injury claims in a hybrid work environment. The role requires independent inventory management, liability and damages assessment, and direct collaboration with attorneys to negotiate and settle claims.

You will work with a supportive team, participate in meetings, and maintain strong documentation and communication throughout the claims process.

Qualifications

• Four years of relevant work experience with one year in claims handling.
• Associate's degree with three years relevant work experience with one year in claims handling.
• Bachelor's degree with one year in claims handling.
• This position requires a valid driver's license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Determines coverage and liability.
• Negotiate with claimants or their attorneys.
• Settle claims and set reserves.
• Estimates cost of treatment or compensation for those injured in accidents.
• Analyze and interpret medical reports, follow-up with no-fault parties, and manage claims process to ensure efficient resolution.
• Interview, collect and document information from various people such as claimants, agents/brokers, attorneys, and police.
