Job summary

Nisar Law Group, P.C. in New York seeks an experienced Employment Litigation Attorney to join its plaintiff-side practice on a full-time, hybrid basis.

The attorney will manage a substantive caseload involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage-and-hour, and civil-rights matters, handling matters from intake through resolution and appearing in state and federal courts as needed.

Qualifications

• Admission to NY Bar in good standing is required.
• Admission to NJ Bar strongly preferred.
• At least five years of employment-litigation or civil-litigation experience preferred.
• Experience handling employment-discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful-termination, wage-and-hour, or civil-rights matters.

Responsibilities

• Manage matters through intake, discovery, motion practice, mediation, and trial.
• Advise clients on discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage-and-hour, and leave protections.
• Conduct client consultations, evaluate claims, and assist with case strategy.
• Prepare pleadings, discovery demands, and settlement submissions.
• Represent clients before EEOC, NYSDHR, NYC Commission on Human Rights, and other agencies.
• Litigate in NY and NJ state and federal courts as applicable.
• Attend depositions, conferences, hearings, and trial preparation.
