Job summary

Aon in Redhill, UK is seeking a Placement and Servicing Lead to join our team. The role combines compliance, delegated underwriting authority, and policy administration in a hybrid setting with the flexibility to work remotely and from the Redhill office.

You will bind risks promptly, manage policy documentation, oversee the e-trade platform, and ensure FCA and insurer guidelines are followed while delivering timely service and strong collaboration with brokers, insurers, and distribution teams.

Qualifications

  • Experience at BU leadership level, influencing and implementing change.
  • Deep knowledge of insurance/reinsurance broking.
  • Proven track record in programme design and placement.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with stakeholders.
  • Self-disciplined and organised.
  • Excellent problem-solving and numerical abilities.
  • Ability to deal with domestic and international clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Bind risks promptly under delegated underwriting authority.
  • Record risks on the Policy Administration System and provide policy documentation.
  • Oversee the e-trade platform and coordinate relevant teams for changes.
  • Meet service standards to bind risks and issue policies on time.
  • Ensure full compliance with delegated authority from insurers.
  • Build relationships with distribution teams and insurers.
  • Participate in insurer meetings to review facility progress.
  • Produce and oversee strategic management information.
  • Collaborate with insurers on underwriting strategies and risk appetite.
  • Monitor new and renewal business, including aggregate monitoring.
  • Comply with FCA rules and Aon policies.
  • Take responsibility for meeting the team’s budget and plans.

What the Day Will Look Like
  • Ensuring that individual risks are bound promptly and in accordance with the delegated underwriting authority.
  • Recording risks on the Policy Administration System accurately and timely, and providing Policy documentation.
  • Overseeing the e-trade platform including coordination of relevant teams to ensure required changes are managed effectively.
  • Meeting agreed service standards to bind risks and ensure policies are accurate and issued within timescales.
  • Ensuring full compliance with the Delegated Authority from insurers.
  • Building excellent working relationships with the distribution team and supporting insurers.
  • Participating in regular insurer meetings to review the progress of the facility.
  • Production and oversight of strategic management information.
  • Collaborating with insurers to deliver underwriting strategies, understanding risk appetite and expectations.
  • Monitoring and controlling new and renewal business, including aggregate monitoring.
  • Acting fully in compliance with FCA rules and guidelines and Aon policies.
  • Taking overall responsibility for meeting the team’s financial budget and plans.
