Brown & Brown in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Placement Analyst to support the marketing of new business and renewal accounts. The role involves preparing submissions, loss runs, and carrier communications to facilitate quotes.

You will develop strong relationships with carriers and learn rating plans, especially loss-sensitive work comp programs, while negotiating pricing on renewals and organizing materials for proposals.

Qualifications

• Proficient with MS Office Suite.
• Experience with industry software and insurance agency systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with marketing efforts for new business accounts by preparing insurance submissions.
• Submit submissions to carriers for quoting via email/online rating and follow up on quotations.
• Develop relationships with carriers and acquire knowledge of rating plans and programs, especially work comp loss sensitive plans.
• Negotiate pricing and coverage options on renewal accounts; maintain open communication during carrier issues as directed.
• Prepare insurance proposals reflecting coverage and premiums for clients and prospects.
• Transfer new business/renewals to Account Managers after binding; assist tracking activity and organize marketing materials.
• Maintain marketing logs and strong computer skills; ensure timely completion of tasks.
