Job summary

Great Salt Bay School in Damariscotta, ME is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support Pre K–4 students within inclusive settings. You will collaborate with BCBA and paraprofessionals to implement SDI and positive behavior supports as part of a robust behavior program.

Salary is based on the district contract, with a range of $50,543–$88,238, plus a generous health-insurance contribution and a stipend for Special Educators.

Qualifications

• Certification by Maine Department of Education in Special Education (PK-6) or conditional eligibility.
• Experience or strong interest in behavior intervention and positive support strategies.
• Desire to work with Pre K–through middle school students in a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement positive behavior support plans.
• Provide Specially Designed Instruction (SDI).
• Support students in inclusive settings with occasional pull-out as per IEP.
• Collaborate with BCBA and paraprofessionals to meet student needs.
