Dayton Area School Consortium is seeking an Academic Coordinator for PK-3 Language Arts to collaborate with teachers to improve instructional practice and student achievement. The role will provide services to buildings and work under the Chief Academic Officer.

The position entails coordinating PLCs, monitoring curriculum implementation, developing ELA resources, managing contracts, and leading professional development.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the U.S.
• Master's degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience within the grade band.
• Current and valid Ohio Teaching and Administrative Licenses

Responsabilités

• Coordinate and facilitate professional learning communities in areas of literacy.
• Monitor and support the district curriculum and instructional practices.
• Create and maintain instructional guides for ELA content PK-3.
• Coordinate professional development training and support with third-party providers.
• Maintain district curriculum software programs and provide training/support.
• Analyze district assessment data and share recommendations at multiple levels.
• Collaborate with department coordinators to organize district-wide events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
