Job summary

Cleveland Metropolitan School District is seeking a PreK-3 ELA Program Manager to lead ELA curriculum development and ensure alignment with Ohio standards. The role supports school leaders and teachers with data-driven instruction and professional learning, driving district-wide academic achievement.

The position reports to the Director of Elementary Curriculum and Instruction and focuses on building capacity, coaching, and curriculum implementation across CMSD's PreK-3 ELA programs.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's in Elementary Education or ELA required.
• Master's preferred.
• Ability to analyze data and research best practices in ELA to support school leaders and teachers.
• Ability to develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate program goals and initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provides direction and leadership in the ELA curriculum development for Grades PreK-3.
• Ensures the PreK-3 ELA program aligns with the Ohio Learning Standards for PreK-3 ELA.
• Provides targeted job-embedded support to teachers and school leaders through observations, co-teaching, modeling, and data analysis.
• Collaborates with Academic Progress Teams to develop and monitor strategies in Academic Achievement Plans.
• Participates in evaluating and acquiring instructional materials to support the ELA curriculum.
• Designs and delivers targeted professional learning to increase teacher capacity and student achievement.
• Establishes and maintains cooperative relationships with stakeholders.
• Engages in continuous learning through professional reflection and collaboration.
