Job summary

MOD Pizza in Woodbridge, VA is seeking a General Manager to lead the restaurant and a squad to deliver the MOD commitment to guests. You will live the MOD culture, coach the team, and ensure profitability while delivering a great guest experience.

You will split time between hands-on leadership and admin tasks, develop community engagement plans, manage staffing, and drive performance through training and accountability.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience leading the leaders in restaurant management.
• Experience executing training, performance and staffing programs in a restaurant or similar environment.
• Strong business acumen with ability to read and act on financials.
• Must obtain a food safety and/or alcohol beverage certification within 30 days of start date.
• Must be proficient in written and oral communication and able to work hours including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the squad, develop leadership capabilities and ensure accountability.
• Identify opportunities to improve restaurant performance and develop action plans.
• Own staffing; build talent pipelines and conduct fair interviews.
• Follow policies and timelines for employee processing and compliance.
• Utilize training plans to move new hires along learning journeys and coach
• Be a community engagement ambassador, supporting fundraising and catering efforts.
• Plan staffing using forecasts and the labor model; manage schedules with flexibility.
• Maintain Loss Prevention and Asset Protection procedures for safety and cash handling.
• Manage squad performance with timely feedback and accountability.
• Oversee ordering and inventory; read internal communications and act accordingly.
• Collaborate with vendors and facilities to keep the restaurant in top condition.
