Job summary

Compass Group USA, at Corteva Ceres in Johnston, IA, is hiring for a full-time Pizza Cook who can prepare pizza from scratch, handle prep work, and maintain an open kitchen with customer interaction. Shifts are 6:30 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with opportunities to contribute to a busy dining program.

In this role you will follow standardized recipes, ensure food quality and proper presentation, and collaborate with team members to deliver timely service while maintaining HACCP

Qualifications

• Previous experience cooking pizza from scratch, prep work, and open kitchen with interaction with customers required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures.
• Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat. Ensures food and supply items are stored per standards.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
