Job summary

ASARCO LLC is seeking a seasoned supervisor to oversee pit operations at the Ray mine. You will direct crews, develop mining plans, and ensure production targets are met while enforcing safety and environmental standards.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and the ability to work overtime in a 24/7 operation. Experience with SAP and MS Office is essential for planning and reporting tasks.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work overtime and holidays as required (24/7/365 operation).
• Proficient with MS Windows, MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook.
• Familiarity with SAP to input and close out WO’s.
• Strong interpersonal and consensus-building abilities.
• Effective oral and written communication; good time management.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and troubleshoot daily issues.
• Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group settings.
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Direct the activities of assigned crew and monitor progress.
• Develop and implement mining plans to meet production targets.
• Prepare staffing and equipment estimates for daily work.
• Ensure crews follow cost-control strategies.
• Enforce safe practices and promote safety culture among crew.
• Comply with environmental requirements and promote awareness.
• Administer provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
• Inspect and evaluate work in progress and direct remedial action.
