Job summary

Central Stone Company in Quincy, IL seeks a Pit Loader/Plant Maintenance candidate to join our long-standing team. The role involves operating a large front-end loader and performing maintenance to keep the plant running smoothly.

The position runs 6:00am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday with potential overtime and some Saturdays during peak periods. Starting pay ranges from $20 to $25 per hour, with benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance.

Qualifications

• Safety-focused with adherence to MSHA and company rules.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• At least 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
• Able to work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate large front end loader (17 CY) feeding crusher mill safely.
• Monitor equipment and production area; perform preventive maintenance.
• Perform pre-shift inspections and routine repairs/cleanup.
• Communicate safety, maintenance, and production needs to management.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Central Stone Company has an immediate full-time opening for a Pit Loader/Plant Maintenance in the Quincy, IL area. This position typically works 6:00am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday - with frequent Saturdays depending on seasonal needs. Candidates must be dependable and available to work overtime as needed.

Pit Loader/Plant Maintenance candidate requirements:

Major Pit Loader/Plant Maintenance responsibilities include:

• Follow all safety and environmental rules, regulations and procedures as set forth by company policies and MSHA
• Operate large scale (17 CY bucket) front end loader that feeds crusher mill. Operate and monitor all equipment and production area safely and efficiently
• Perform preventive maintenance and pre-shift inspections; repair and/or clean equipment as needed
• Communicate with plant management team on all safety, maintenance, and production needs
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor
