The day includes equipment inspection, routine maintenance, and on-site collaboration with team members. Candidates should have a High School diploma or equivalent and hands-on experience operating mobile equipment, with loader experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Possess a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• Experience operating mobile equipment, construction equipment and/or equipment used in processing plants.
• Six months of experience operating a front-end loader (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Operate a pit loader within company guidelines and safety standards.
• Complete daily pre- and post-inspections of working areas and ensure berms/roadways are adequate.
• Perform pre-shift safety inspections and report needed repairs to the supervisor.
• Ensure safe operations around conveyors, surge piles and crushers.
• Perform daily preventative maintenance on equipment and check for leaks.
• Maintain safe traffic flow throughout the site.
• Operate other equipment such as excavators and haul trucks as needed.
• Assist in training co-workers as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
