Martin Marietta is seeking a Pit Loader Operator at the Raleigh-Durham Quarry in Raleigh, NC. The role emphasizes safe, efficient operation of a pit loader, stockpile maintenance, and leadership around site truck movements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• Experience operating a front-end loader and maintenance of mobile equipment.
• Ability to inspect and report safety issues and repairs.
• Experience coordinating with truck drivers on-site safety and operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate a pit loader within the company guidelines and safety standards.
• Complete daily pre and post inspections of working areas and ensure berms and roadways are adequate.
• Perform pre-shift safety inspections and report needed repairs to the supervisor.
• Ensure safe operations around conveyors, surge piles and crushers.
• Perform daily preventative maintenance—tire pressure, oil, grease, diesel fuel, hoses for leaks and all moving parts for proper function.
• Maintain safe traffic flow throughout the site.
• Operate other equipment such as excavators and haul trucks as needed.
• Aid in the training of co-workers as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
