Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company is seeking a hands-on Piping Technician to join our manufacturing team. You will assemble, fit, fabricate, and test piping systems used in our thermal management products across industries.

You will read drawings, cut and bend pipes, perform joining techniques, install valves and tubing, and conduct testing while upholding safety, quality, and continuous improvement standards. On-site facility with teamwork and craftsmanship at its core.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in piping, fabrication, assembly, HVAC, plumbing, welding, or related trade.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings/specifications.
• Experience using hand and power tools and shop equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.
• Measure, cut, bend, fit, and assemble piping systems and components to precise specs.
• Perform brazing, soldering, welding, and other joining techniques as required.
• Install valves, fittings, tubing, and related system components.
• Conduct pressure and leak testing and quality inspections.
• Troubleshoot assembly challenges and recommend process improvements.
• Ensure work meets safety, quality, and production schedules.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams for continuous improvement.
• Assist in training and supporting team members as needed.

As a Piping Technician, you will be responsible for assembling, fitting, fabricating, and testing piping systems and components used in our manufacturing processes and finished products.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.
• Measure, cut, bend, fit, and assemble piping systems and components to precise specifications.
• Perform brazing, soldering, welding, and other joining techniques as required.
• Install valves, fittings, tubing, and related system components.
• Conduct pressure testing, leak testing, and quality inspections.
• Troubleshoot assembly challenges and recommend process improvements.
• Ensure all work meets quality standards, safety requirements, and production schedules.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in piping, fabrication, assembly, manufacturing, HVAC, plumbing, welding, or a related skilled trade.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and shop equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with stainless steel, copper, aluminum, or industrial piping systems.
• Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials up to 50 pounds.
• Stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
• Safely operate manufacturing equipment and tools.i>
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
