A leading industrial construction firm in Columbia, SC is seeking an experienced Piping/Mechanical Project Manager to lead their office. The role involves managing project scopes, schedules, and budgets while building relationships with general contractors and owners. Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with general contractors and owners.
  • Manage and document project scope, schedules, and budgets.
  • Conduct on-site visits and manage project teams.
  • Manage, approve, organize, document the project scope, RFIs, schedule, submittals, billings, change orders, cost evaluate, and budget from start to finish.
  • Business development with existing and prospect general contractors and owners, as well as other subcontractors and design engineers.
  • Work closely with vendors and suppliers and ensure on-time delivery of materials from vendors, and best terms on pricing of materials.

Title: Piping/Mechanical Project Manager

Location: Columbia, South Carolina

Tiello has partnered with an established industrial construction company dedicated to delivering high-quality solutions and are seeking an experienced Piping/Mechanical Project Manager to lead their Columbia office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain a strong relationship with GC's and Owners
  • Ability to commute to different jobsites, and complete on-site visits
  • Manage and run meetings: Meet and mentor all project engineers and field manpower
  • Manage, approve, organize, document the projects scope, RFI's, schedule, submittals, billings, change orders, cost evaluate, and budget from start to finish
  • Business development with existing and prospect general contractors and owners, as well as other sub-contractors and design engineers
  • Work closely with vendors and suppliers and ensure and on-time delivery of materials from vendors, and best terms on pricing of materials
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience managing safety protocols
  • OSHA 500
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage diverse teams.
  • Experience with construction management software is a plus.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to travel to and oversee job sites as needed.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. in field environments.
Additional Information
  • Occasional travel to project sites will be required.
