Southern Industrial Constructors, INC. is seeking a Pipe Project Manager based out of Greensboro, NC, with travel on various projects across the United States.

You will oversee piping systems, manage all project phases, and lead client development and delivery while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. The role requires 5+ years in piping project management and 10-15 years in client relationships and bids, along with proven leadership and strategic thinking.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in managing industrial piping projects, up to $1 million.
• 10-15 years in client relationships and bid development with a successful record.
• Demonstrated leadership, ownership, and risk management capabilities.
• Strategic thinker with ability to plan and build relationships.
• Knowledge of safety and OSHA requirements and regulations.
• Proficient PC skills including Microsoft Office and project scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and implementation of industrial piping projects, ensuring all objectives and deadlines are met.
• Coordinate with client, other Project Management, and supervision to plan, develop and oversee site projects, establish priorities and assign resources.
• Responsible for all aspects of cost management, including estimating, funding, budgeting, forecasting, controlling and reporting.
• Use knowledge of scheduling, bids, take offs, change orders, and contracts to identify and process scope changes.
• Continuously develop relationships to identify and cultivate opportunities.
• Plans and schedules resources to meet project demands.
• Devises new approaches to problems and monitors drawings, specs, calculations, charts and graphs for compliance.
• Travels to jobsites on a regular basis to oversee projects.

Job Summary

Southern Industrial Constructors, INC. is seeking a Pipe Project Manager. Travel on various projects throughout the United States is required. This position will be based out of Greensboro, NC.

Oversee the planning, design, installation, and maintenance of piping systems in industrial facilities. The Pipe Project Manager will be responsible for managing all phases of the project lifecycle while ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications. This role provides leadership for client development and project delivery.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design, and implementation of industrial piping projects, ensuring all objectives and deadlines are met.
• Works closely with client, other Project Management, and supervision on a daily basis to prepare, plan, develop and oversee site projects, establish priorities and assign resources or capital.
• Responsible for all aspects of cost management, including estimating, funding, budgeting, forecasting, controlling and reporting.
• Uses extensive knowledge of project scheduling, bids, take offs, change orders, and contracts to properly identify and process scope changes, address issues, communicate regarding project milestones, etc.
• Continuously develops relationships to identify and cultivate opportunities.
• Plans and schedules resources to meet project demands.
• Devises new approaches to problems, and prepares or modifies drawings, specifications, calculations, charts and graphs and monitors work for compliance to applicable codes and accepted engineering practices.
• Ensures all equipment, tools and employees assigned to project operate in accordance with SIC policy, government regulations and customer requirements.
• Monitors the executing of the SIC safety program and the performance of work by internal staff and external vendors and champions our Safety-First mentality.
• Provides regular updates of project statuses to Senior Management.
• Travels to jobsites on a regular basis to oversee projects.
• Other duties as assigned.

• 5+ years of experience in managing industrial piping projects, with a proven track record in the construction or manufacturing industry working up projects up to $1 million
• 10-15 years of client relationship and business development experience, including leading the preparation and development of bids with a successful record.
• Demonstrated success in team leadership, process adherence, ownership/commitment, learning agility and risk management capabilities.
• Strategic thinker who can establish and manage plans while building and fostering relationships.
• Knowledge of safety and relevant OSHA requirements and regulations.
• Proficient PC skills; including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and project management scheduling software.

Work Environment

Conditions include working in office, with occasional entry into shop, busy traffic areas, and warehouses. Occasional exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, and adverse weather conditions. Must be able to safely access all areas of property. Must be able to effectively use any required PPE equipment. Potential Jobsite Visits.
