Audubon Companies is seeking a Piping Designer II for our Houston, TX office. This role focuses on designing piping equipment, components, structures, and systems, with detailed drawings and BOM preparation.

The candidate should have 7+ years of experience and strong CAD skills (AutoCAD, CADWorx, PDMS). Offshore/onshore process experience is preferred, with field experience a plus. This position emphasizes teamwork and problem solving in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate's Degree from a Technical Institution preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience preferred.
• AutoCAD software experience required.
• CADWorx and PDMS software experience preferred.
• Microsoft Office software experience preferred.
• Field experience preferred.
• Experience in offshore oil & gas, onshore gas processing, hydrocarbon storage and transportation, chemical manufacturing or refining industry required.
• Small/Medium project lead experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Ability to utilize conventional drafting tools and CAD software to execute drafting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed drawings of parts and assemblies from layouts and working drawings.
• Interpret verbal or written direction to initiate a preliminary design.
• Assist with stress analysis, specifications, procurement, calculations, and estimates.
• Prepare BOMs and procurement lists when drawings are complete.
• Revise drawings and BOMs per engineering changes.
• Implement revisions and change control per standards.
• Assemble information from multiple sources for drawings.
• Look for product improvements and cost reductions.
• Create layouts using 2D/3D CAD for piping systems and components.
• Create documentation to process Engineering Change Orders (ECO).
• Interact with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
