Job summary

TWD is seeking an Intermediate Piping Designer to support our Pittsburgh, PA office. You will contribute to piping systems design for energy and infrastructure projects, developing piping models, layouts, and deliverables in line with codes and client requirements.

Working with multidisciplinary teams, you will coordinate with process, mechanical, civil, and other disciplines, resolve interfaces, and ensure constructible, safe designs throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Piping Design, Drafting, or related technical discipline.
• 4–9 years of relevant piping design experience in EPC/oil & gas industry.
• Experience developing 3D piping models using PDS or similar software.
• Ability to create piping layouts, plans, sections, elevations, and isometric drawings.
• Familiarity with piping codes, standards, and project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain 3D piping models and related drawings per project requirements.
• Prepare piping layouts, equipment arrangements, and isometric drawings.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, civil, and other disciplines.
• Resolve routing conflicts and design interfaces; manage model reviews.
• Support design reviews, QA/QC, and documentation for construction.
• Ensure deliverables comply with project standards and codes.
