Job summary

CV Engineering seeks a highly skilled Mechanical Designer to join our Pittsburgh team. This on-site role focuses on piping and mechanical design for large-scale industrial facilities, leveraging AutoCAD and Revit to produce construction drawings and layouts.

You will collaborate with engineers and project managers, mentor junior designers, and help develop standards and workflows to improve design efficiency and project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate or technical degree in Mechanical Design or Drafting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed piping and mechanical drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Develop piping layouts and equipment arrangements for industrial facilities.
• Create construction drawings from P&IDs, flow diagrams, vendor docs.
• Ensure drawings comply with codes, standards and project specs.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to develop design packages.
• Mentor other designers and maintain document control.
• Support field activities by resolving design questions.
