Job summary

Kiewit is seeking mid-level Piping Designers for its Industrial Engineering team. You will create 3D equipment models and piping isometrics using SmartPlant3D or REVIT, supporting EPC projects across North America.

Work with subject matter experts through conceptual to detailed design stages, including on-site support and collaboration with suppliers and other engineers to ensure constructability and safety standards.

Qualifications

Associates degree in CAD or related field preferred with 4 years piping design experience.
4+ years industry related design experience preparing 3D models and piping system design documents.
Knowledge of piping support design, pipe stress, equipment layout and installation.
Experience drafting P&ID's, schematics and 3D routing of piping systems.

Responsibilities

Utilize SmartPlant3D to create 3D equipment models based on drawings.
Design mechanical systems and piping; generate isometrics for industrial projects.
Develop layout and equipment arrangement for facilities across North America.
Support construction on-site, respond to RFIs, propose design solutions.
Coordinate with internal and external partners to review progress and deliverables.
Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards and company practices.
