Job summary

Kiewit Nuclear Solutions is seeking experienced Mechanical/Piping Designers to join our team in the nuclear market. You will work on 3D models, piping systems, and isometrics for industrial and power facilities, collaborating closely with construction teams.

The ideal candidate has 10–15 years in 3D detailed design, with nuclear, industrial, or power experience, and the ability to guide junior designers and coordinate with multiple partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in CAD/Drafting Technology, Engineering or related field.
• Experience with 3D design software and plant layout.
• 10–15 years of 3D modeling/detailed design experience; nuclear/industrial context preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize 3D design software to create 3D equipment models and provide guidance to lower-level designers to ensure work meets standards.
• Design piping systems and generate isometric drawings for processes and utilities.
• Perform early project design work related to facility layout and equipment general arrangement.
• Develop, monitor and check design deliverables per codes, requirements and standards.
• Coordinate with internal and external design partners and construction teams to review progress and results.
• Develop schedules, work assignments, and staffing requirements for project completion.
