Job summary

Mariana Minerals is seeking a Manager, Piping Design & Engineering to lead the piping discipline for refining and minerals processing facilities. You will own the 3D model, govern metadata, and drive workflow from P&ID to IFC, coordinating with stress engineers and EPC teams.

You will set piping material and valve specs, oversee model reviews, and push automation initiatives to improve efficiency across projects. A ME degree and leadership experience are required; PE is a plus.

Qualifications

10+ years in piping design and engineering on EPC/EPCM or owner-operator projects.
Experience leading a piping design department.
Ownership of 3D model development from concept through IFC with multidisciplinary reviews.
Experience defining piping design workflows and drafting standards.
Proficient in Navisworks clash detection and model coordination.
Strong knowledge of ASME B31.3 (and B31.1 where applicable).
Experience with material and valve specifications and pipe support criteria.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
Professional Engineer license preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead the piping design team and manage piping designers and stress engineers.
Balance workload across concurrent projects and maintain delivery schedules.
Own 3D model development end to end in Plant 3D and Revit, including isometrics.
Define model, drawing, and file format requirements for EPCs and vendors.
Run 30/60/90% model reviews and Navisworks clash detection; drive resolution.
Develop piping design workflows and standards from P&ID to IFC.
Oversee material specs, valve specs, and pipe support design criteria.
Drive procurement support, field RFIs, redlines, and as-built closeout.
Ensure piping systems comply with ASME B31.3 and B31.1.
