Job summary

Mariana Minerals is seeking a Sr./Staff Mechanical Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of first-of-its-kind chemical refining processes for the world’s energy transition. You will specify equipment, perform static and FEA analyses, develop models, and drive vendor management from concept to handover while collaborating with EPC teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong engineering fundamentals and problem-solving ability.
• Experience preparing mechanical equipment specifications and vendor documentation.
• Experience static equipment design of tanks, silos, vessels, and related components.
• FEA capabilities for stress, fatigue, and thermal/operational loading.
• Knowledge of ASME and API codes and standards.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering scopes across project phases from concept through commissioning.
• Manage equipment lifecycle with vendors, including RFQs, reviews, fabrication expediting, and commissioning support.
• Develop site-wide and area-level plant layouts for optimal equipment arrangement and safety.
• Prepare equipment specifications, data sheets, and requisition packages.
• Perform static equipment design of tanks, silos, vessels, and related systems.
• Conduct finite element analysis to validate designs under stress and thermal loads.
• Design and integrate solids-handling and conveyance systems.
• Support 3D model development and interface layouts with other disciplines.
• Review vendor drawings for compliance with codes and project requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary EPC teams to deliver complete packages.
• Provide construction and commissioning support, including RFIs and field changes.
