Mariana Minerals is seeking Piping Design Engineers to redefine piping design for a software-driven minerals company. You will build models, draft PFDs/P&IDs, and automate repetitive tasks using modern CAD and AI tools.

The role emphasizes first‑principles reasoning, data integration, and collaborative, cross‑discipline reviews to improve efficiency and accuracy. A BS in Mechanical Engineering is expected, with openness to hands‑on design experience.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field; new grads welcome.
• Hands-on piping design experience or project work acceptable in place of degree.

Responsibilities

• Build the 3D model: layout, routing, supports, and isometrics in AutoCAD Plant 3D.
• Draft PFDs and smart P&IDs, and set up Plant 3D projects.
• Carry lines from P&ID to IFC with proper spec compliance and operability.
• Produce quantities: Bills of Material and take-offs from the model.
• Lead multidiscipline reviews with process, mechanical, structural, and electrical.
• Identify repetitive tasks and advocate automation; script repetitive work.
• Create tools using AI coding approaches and maintain version control.
• Integrate data across P&ID, line lists, stress inputs, and procurement quantities.
