Job summary

Mariana Minerals is seeking a Senior/Staff Process Engineer to lead the detailed design of critical mineral processing facilities. You will own PFDs, P&IDs, hydraulic models, and equipment specifications from concept through commissioning.

Responsibilities include developing process data, control narratives, and ensuring cross-disciplinary coordination across engineering teams. A BS in Chemical/Metallurgical/Process Engineering is required, with PE preferred and 8+ years of industrial experience.

Qualifications

• 8+ years delivering detailed process design for industrial facilities.
• Experience in EPC/EPCM or owner's engineer environments.
• BS in Chemical/Metallurgical/Process Engineering; PE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the process design basis for assigned areas and develop design cases, margins, and utility demands.
• Develop PFDs, heat and material balances, and P&IDs; manage metadata behind drafting software.
• Create P&IDs from concept through IFC including equipment, instrumentation and control loops.
• Coordinate workflows for line, instrument and valve lists; define design pressures, temperatures, and pipe classes.
• Build and maintain hydraulic models: line sizing, pumps, NPSH, and control valve sizing; link to Plant 3D datamanager.
• Write control narratives and functional descriptions with controls team support.
• Represent process in PHAs and HAZOP; support construction and commissioning with field verifications.
