Job summary

METTLER TOLEDO is seeking a Depot Service Technician to test, clean, repair and reassemble Rainin pipettes and other brands. You will perform mechanical and electronic measurements and inspections to ensure conformance with specifications, and assist in meeting repair and verification standards.

Responsibilities include disassembling/reassembling pipettes, completing worksheets, repair estimates, processing orders, updating databases, and labeling/tracking incoming packages.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1 year related experience in Manufacturing, Instrumentation repair and maintenance preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present verbal information to customers and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to carry out basic arithmetic and work with numbers.

Responsibilities

• Disassembles, cleans, repairs, and reassembles pipettes and equipment.
• Performs inspections on units received for defects and ensures quality standards.
• Completes related paperwork such as work sheets and repair estimates.
• Expedites priority orders through the database system.
• Contributes to meeting turn-around-time requirements.
• Follows testing procedures for pipettes and equipment.
• Tests and evaluates pipettes to meet standards.
• Accounts for parts used and directs orders to next stage in process.
• Receives incoming repair orders and logs deliveries in the log sheet.
