Job summary

TC Energy is seeking a Pipeline Technician to support the Lafayette region's compressor stations, assisting with maintenance, leak surveys, and right-of-way activities. You will perform pipeline locates, DOT documentation, and operate various engines and equipment in support of safety and reliability.

The role requires self-motivation, the ability to work with limited supervision, and willingness to travel for temporary assignments as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience locating and marking subsurface pipeline infrastructure.
• LOTO experience.
• Gas handling experience.

Responsibilities

• Locate and visually mark subsurface pipeline infrastructure with paint and/or flags.
• Oversee and manage pipeline crossings and encroachments.
• Complete Department of Transportation (DOT) and Company documentation.
• Perform pipeline maintenance such as leak repair, right-of-way inspection, and assist with tie-ins of mainline valves.
• Operate company truck and compressor engines and related equipment.
• Plan, coordinate, and perform mechanical maintenance activities, including preventive and major maintenance projects.
• Troubleshoot, operate, and maintain gas-fired compressors, turbines, and related equipment.
• Enter data into SAP, create work orders, and manage gas handling plans.
