Spire Inc. is seeking a Pipeline Safety Compliance Intern in St. Louis or Kansas City, MO. This paid internship offers a mentor-led experience for a student or recent graduate to work on regulatory, field, and process-improvement projects within the natural gas industry.

You will support audits, analyze data, and contribute to ongoing regulatory efforts while developing essential skills for a career in pipeline safety.

Qualifikationen

• Must be an undergraduate rising junior, senior or graduate student in fall 2027 pursuing a civil, chemical, industrial or mechanical engineering degree.
• Must be able to work 35-40 hours per week throughout the summer internship.
• Must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA.
• Microsoft Office proficiency required.
• Must participate in All Inclusive Onboarding and Project Poster Symposium.

Aufgaben

• Acquire knowledge of state and federal requirements affecting natural gas companies.
• Support data analysis and reporting required for regulatory audits, pipeline system component maintenance and quality assurance activities.
• Participate in field audits of pipeline construction and other field activities.
• Review impact of proposed pipeline safety regulations on company operations.
• Develop recommendations for process improvements.
• All other duties as assigned.
