Spire Inc. is seeking a Pipeline Safety Compliance Intern in St. Louis or Kansas City, MO. The role is designed for a career-minded student or recent graduate to learn and be mentored in the natural gas industry, performing projects and administrative duties across the department.

The internship requires 35–40 hours per week during the summer, with a focus on regulatory knowledge, data analysis, and field activities. Strong ethics, teamwork, and the ability to work under pressure are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Must be enrolled as an undergraduate rising junior, senior or graduate student in fall 2027 pursuing an engineering degree.
• Must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office required; onboarding and project poster symposium participation expected.

Aufgaben

• Acquire knowledge of state and federal requirements affecting natural gas companies.
• Support data analysis and reporting for regulatory audits, pipeline system maintenance and QA activities.
• Participate in field audits of pipeline construction and other field activities.
• Review impact of proposed pipeline safety regulations on company operations.
• Develop recommendations for process improvements.
• All other duties as assigned.
