Job summary

INDUS ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES LLC in Houston is seeking a Porter to maintain the property's cleanliness and curb appeal, including grounds, amenities, building exteriors, leasing office, parking lots, and other common areas.

No education or experience required, though some multifamily experience is preferred; candidates must be able to lift at least 50 pounds, work as part of a team, and follow safety guidelines. This is a full-time on-site role with equal opportunity employment.

Responsibilities

• Must have a professional and neat appearance.
• Maintain upkeep of grounds, amenities, building exteriors, leasing office, parking lots and other community areas.
• Remove trash from office areas and apartment community perimeter daily.
• Remove trash from vacant apartments (trash outs) prior to make-ready.
• Assist in cleaning available apartments and/or models.
• Assist in troubleshooting/repair of mechanical, carpentry, and electrical problems as needed.
• Report maintenance concerns for repairs on apartments, models, clubhouse, and common areas.
• Perform supplemental landscape maintenance to keep areas tidy and trimmed.
• Keep the Property Manager informed of suspicious activities on or around the community.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Job Summary:

The Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and curb appeal of the property including grounds, amenities, building exteriors and leasing office, parking lots, and other common areas.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: None

Experience: None; some experience in the multifamily industry preferred

License/Certification(s): None

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• English/Spanish fluency
• Basic computer and smartphone skills
• Must demonstrate professional and respectful behavior
• Ability to perform physical labor and lift heavy objects
• Ability to understand and execute basic instructions
• Ability to contribute to a team-based approach to work
• Must be able to lift, pull, push, and carry at least 50 pounds
