Job summary

Plains is seeking a Pipeline Operator to manage crude oil movements, inspect pumps and valves, and ensure accurate custody transfer with carriers and customers. The role emphasizes safety, DOT compliance, and reliable field operations within a fast-paced environment in Texas.

The position requires pipeline knowledge, a valid US driver's license, basic math and computer skills, and willingness to work overtime/on-call. Excellent communication and record-keeping are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have pipeline knowledge and experience.
• Ability to read technical manuals and perform basic math.
• Valid US driver's license with clean record.
• Willingness to travel and work overtime/on-call.
• Haz-Mat training and safety program completion preferred.

Responsibilities

• Move petroleum products in and out of pipeline pump stations and ensure custody transfer.
• Inspect pumps, valves, and lines for proper operation and safety.
• Perform DOT tankage inspections and fire extinguisher checks and maintain records.
• Maintain security of facilities and coordinate with Control Center.
• Witness meter proving and run pigs as needed.
• Be available for on-call duty and overtime as required.
