Job summary

Plains is seeking a Terminal Operator in Texas to operate and maintain pipeline facilities and terminals, ensuring the safe transportation and storage of crude oil and refined products. The role includes equipment inspections, calibration of safety and measurement devices, and accurate reporting to support field operations.

You will work outdoors in variable conditions, coordinate with carriers, and assist in training new staff while following Plains safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to read and write English and perform basic math.
• Ability to read and interpret pipeline maps, drawings, and schematics.
• Team-based work with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform Pipeline/Terminal Operator I tasks with minimal supervision.
• Conduct daily inspections and minor maintenance on tanks, valves, and equipment.
• Calibrate and maintain safety, spill response and measurement equipment.
• Ensure daily security and regulatory inspections are performed.
• Monitor and document station activity and oil movements.
• Control product flows and respond to abnormal or emergency conditions.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and repairs on pumps, meters, and valves.
• Support training of new employees and safety reviews.
