Job summary

Plains is seeking a Pipeline Operator to manage movements of crude oil and refined products, perform custody transfer, and ensure accurate measurement and reporting. You will inspect equipment, maintain safety records, and coordinate with the control center and carriers to ensure compliant operations.

The role requires reading manuals, basic math, and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions, with on-call rotation and potential travel.

Qualifications

• Must have pipeline knowledge and experience.
• Basic math and computer/PC skills are required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage petroleum product movements and custody transfer.
• Inspect pumps and valves for proper operation.
• Record quality and quantity measurements per Plains procedures.
• Conduct monthly DOT tankage and fire extinguisher inspections.
• Maintain security and report infractions.
• Coordinate with Pipeline Control Center and carriers.
• Willingness to travel, work overtime and be on-call as needed.
