Job summary

Plains Midstream Canada (PMC) seeks a Pipeline Operator to manage and maintain pipelines, tanks and gathering facilities in support of crude oil transportation and storage. You will perform routine inspections, custody transfers, and ensure compliance with DOT and safety policies.

The role requires pipeline knowledge, strong math and computer skills, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work outdoors in varied conditions. On-site work with potential travel and on-call duties is expected.

Qualifications

• Pipeline knowledge and experience required.
• Basic math and computer/PC skills are necessary.
• Ability to read and comprehend technical operational manuals.
• Must be able to communicate in English.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Familiarity with DOT requirements and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain identified pipeline assets and facilities to ensure safe transportation and storage of products.
• Inspect pumps, valves, and equipment for proper operation and integrity.
• Conduct routine DOT tankage and fire extinguisher inspections; maintain records.
• Manage custody transfer activities with carriers and customers; witness meter proving as needed.
• Coordinate with Operations Supervisor and support on-call rotations and travel when required.
