Job summary

Kinder Morgan is seeking a field operations professional in the United States to operate and maintain gas pipelines and related compression facilities. The role involves working with landowners, managing facilities, and ensuring safety and environmental compliance.

You will participate in projects, oversee third-party work, and ensure documentation and records meet company standards. A valid driver’s license and ability to pass background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong mechanical skills are needed.
• Ability to work with others as a team and take directions.
• Available for shift work and standby when applicable.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and meet insurability requirements.
• May require a commercial driver’s license and related regulations.
• Achieve and maintain Operator Qualifications and progression requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain pipelines and compression facilities, including equipment like compressors, engines, turbines, and valves.
• Install, repair, service and maintain valves, pipes, and appurtenances.
• Maintain facilities and equipment, including right-of-way, storage areas and offices.
• Support projects with excavation oversight and pigging, leak surveys, and related tasks.
• Represent the Company in contacts with landowners, officials, and at local meetings.
• Oversee construction/maintenance by third parties and train staff as needed.
• Perform governmental compliance activities (PHMSA, EPA, etc.).
• Complete documentation and records in line with standards and tariffs.
