Job summary

Sunoco LP seeks a Pipeline Control Center Operator to ensure safe, reliable product flow across the Sunoco Pipeline Systems. You will monitor pump operations, pressures, and tank inventories, coordinating with field personnel to maintain schedules and product quality.

This 12-hour shift role requires day and night coverage, overtime, and emergency response readiness. You will use SCADA and related tools, document throughput, and report operational data to the Sunoco team.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• Must pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and comply with PHMSA regulations.
• Familiar with PC applications (Excel, Word, Project) and process control software.
• Proven multitasking, analytical and detail-oriented abilities.
• Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain pipeline pressures within design criteria and monitor liquids quality at various points.
• Work with field personnel to execute changes as scheduled.
• Act as first contact in emergency response situations, notifying emergency services and management.
• Initiate pump and delivery schedule changes and monitor inventories and tank levels.
• Direct and monitor product delivery at remote locations using computer-controlled field equipment.
• Collaborate on troubleshooting of SCADA, control valves, and related equipment.
• Complete daily throughput reports and evaluate operational problems.
