Job summary

Sunoco LP is seeking a Pipeline Control Center Operator to ensure safe and reliable product flow across its midstream network. You will monitor pressures, adjust pump and delivery schedules, and coordinate with field personnel to maintain design criteria and product quality.

Responsibilities include emergency response, tank inventory oversight, data reporting, and continuous operation support for refined products, ammonia, and crude oil.

Qualifications

• Pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening.
• Live within an hour of the control room.
• Proficient with PC applications (Excel, Word, Project).
• Multitasking, analytical, and detail oriented.
• Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Some travel and overtime required.
• This is a 12-hour shift role with day/night, weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain pipeline pressures within design criteria.
• Coordinate with departments to execute scheduled changes.
• Serve as first contact in emergency response with notification to Sunoco management.
• Initiate pump/delivery schedule changes; monitor tank inventories and line parameters.
• Direct and monitor product delivery at remote locations via computer-controlled field equipment.
• Work with field personnel on basic troubleshooting of SCADA and valves.
• Complete daily throughput reports; evaluate problems and provide solutions.
