Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking an experienced engineer to optimize field and gathering operations. The role focuses on pipeline simulation, compressor performance, MAOP/OPP protection, and project execution across small to medium scale expansions.

You will collaborate with operations, facility planning, and safety teams to ensure compliant, efficient, and reliable gas pipelines and facilities across multiple sites. Strong communication and data analysis skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Civil preferred).
• 3–6 years’ experience in pipeline simulation, modeling, principles, and practices.
• Experience with multiphase pipeline/plant simulation software (ProMax/Nextgen).
• Experience with compressor modeling software preferred (Ariel).
• Knowledge of pipeline MAOP/OPP protection and field compression practices.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills; ability to review engineering drawings and GIS data.

Responsibilities

• Implement project cycles for small field generated plant improvement projects from scope to completion.
• Coordinate with operations personnel and contractors for project execution.
• Lead medium sized expansion projects from scope to completion, including design and procurement.
• Enhance compressor performance and overpressure protection of pipelines with operations teams.
• Collaborate with Facility Planning for simulation results and expansion studies.
• Support daily plant operations and troubleshooting with engineering insights.
• Participate in PSM activities and maintain facility drawings and action items.
• Develop process solutions following standards, codes, and safety practices.
