Job summary

Energy Transfer in Midland, TX, seeks a Senior Engineer reporting to the Manager of Engineering within Technical Operations. You will provide day‑to‑day engineering support to the Division Liquid Pipeline Operations and drive project lifecycle execution.

The role emphasizes hydraulic calculations, surge studies, MOP development, and P&ID updates, with collaboration across Ops, Planning and Scheduling teams to ensure safe, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required.
• 6–10 years of experience typical; level based on experience.
• Familiar with USDOT CFR 192 & 195, API, ASME, ASNT, OSHA, and NACE.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day engineering and technical support for liquid pipeline operations.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and simulations; assist with MOP, surge studies, budgeting, and P&ID updates.
• Set operating, alarm, and shutdown setpoints for pipeline operations.
• Participate in the MOC process for engineering reviews and sign-off.
• Lead full lifecycle projects for maintenance, capital, and expense programs.
• Review potential exposures and relocations; support investigations (AOC, MEC, EHS).
• Coordinate with Ops/Optimization, Systems Planning, Scheduling and Commercial teams.
