Job summary

ONE Gas is seeking an inspector to perform pipeline inspection and oversee contractors in the construction and maintenance of a pipeline system. Duties include inspecting work, operating and maintaining tools, logging reports, and investigating emergencies such as leaks or low pressure calls.

Two to four years of relevant experience is typical, with knowledge of pipeline standards and safety. CDL preferred; driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• Two to four years of relevant experience; minimum of one year required.
• Experience with operation and maintenance of tools and equipment used in pipelines.
• Familiarity with basic arithmetic and reading maps/blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Inspect installation, maintenance, or removal work on transmission and distribution pipelines for compliance with standards.
• Assist with operation and maintenance of tools and equipment; support contractors on site.
• Maintain logs and prepare reports such as inspection, leak, job order, and training records.
• Investigate customer orders and emergencies, including low pressure calls, leaks, and fires.
• Review invoices for accuracy and materials used.
